my highest ive gone so far is 3.8, but that only makes it up to the vista loader. then it begins to fail at booting multiple times. the highest i have booted in so far is 3.6 i didnt try anything between 3.6-3.8

you should definitely be able to. heat might become an issue up around that area. but 3.6 is definite in my book. you have watercooling anyhow so i dont see a problem at all.

yea i hit 3.6 but like truenoob says it starts to get hot! I might have to save up for a wc loop here. I lowered my oc to 3.4 just too keep the temps down a little. on the other hand its hot in here it's a little over 80 so thats probably why my temps are up there too. Ambiant seems to have alot to do with temps.

Ambient temps hurt me a lot also. I am going to need a new W/C setup soon. I'm going to work with what i got now and replace the waterblock and fan and see what happens. are you stable at your 3.4? i cannot get stable at 3.4

what are your idle/load temps @ 3.6ghz and what vcore do you use for that?

for me my Idle was in the 39 39 45 47, something close to that, my load was 61 61 66 68 at a 1.4vcore in bios,i started at 1.35,booted in also, but 1.4 was most stable i forgot what it was in windows load/idle
