Hi I've got my E8400 up to 3.6GHz on VID 1.2250v and the temps are fine with my TRuE-120 it idles around high 30s and gets up to medium-high 50s on full load.
__________________I have a cheap-arse motherboard - Asus P5K SE and brandless DDR2-800 RAM. I want to get a little higher with my CPU overclock, but should I be worried about my Northbridge temps? The heatsink is very warm to touch. Also the computer blue-screens when I try to go to 4ghz and I can't figure out if its the RAM or something else, what do you guys think? All help is much appreciated.

I would agree with the RAM. That board usually hits better than 405 on dualies. See if you can set a memory multiplier lower than 1:1.

Most likely.

i think you are confusing vid with vcore.....he is clearly running @ 1.192 volts...
that's too low to be stable @ 4GHz........try to disable C1E and all the other crap like spread spectrum, speedstep in bios and set your vcore to 1.300 for starters
