I am currently in the SAME bind. I can get the QX6850 for $239.00, and the Q9550 for $260, the Q9550 is a little more, but it's newer, 45nm tech, and has 12mb Cache. I think in the long run the Q9550 would be a better choice because it runs much much cooler, and with less power.

I think I'm going to get the QX6850, then sell it for $450 or so, and then save the cash, and use what i need and get the Q9550. lol.
