check this: http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...ing-guide.html
It's a bios OC guide for q6600's on your (or a similar) board. Important things: =Make sure all the cores are enabled =C1E function is disabled =All the spread spectrums are disabled =Properly set your Vcores on both the CPU AND the northbridge. When you increase the Core clock, you're affecting the CPU and FSB, and (to put it simply), the FSB is "controlled" by the northbridge, so you have to crank the voltage there as well to handle the increase.

What does it say in device manager? If you had a previous cpu installed, right click the CPU (whatever it is right now) in device manager, and press "uninstall". Should allow windows to see all 4.

how do i do that? The Device Manager only shows 1 CPU and so does Orthos/Core Temp/ HW Moniter! Also ive reset the CMOS many times but still no GO! And ive even reset using the No-Fail Option in the BIOS! It took 1 hour to get it to POST when i got it all together! It would turn on for a secound then turn back off, finanaly i took the CPU out and pust it back in and it worked fine but it only reads one core! And that Push Pin Degsign is bending my board so i don't want to keep taking it off and on! (Only took off once to reseat the CPU and i hope its the last time i do have to take it off as it takes forever to get back on!)

Just out of curiosity, in taskmanager, right click on a process and select "Set Affinity". What does it show?

Well under the proformace tab it shows only one core but i will see what that thing says tomarow when i get back on this rig! Im one my Old Fashinoned HP Pavilion with an Intel Celeron D 2.8 GHZ Single core with 512MB of RAM laptop!! Its about as fast as the 4GB (Only 2.5GB Shows) 3.6GHz Quad core machine that is currently a single core!
