Hey OCN,
__________________I just got my new Q6600, EVGA 750i FTW, and 4GB of OCZ 1066Mhz RAM! I was glad to see my Q6600 i got in a new retail box for newegg.com was infact a GO and its got a VID of 1.275 so its a great OC'er! I set the FSB to 1600 right from the start and i have got no BSOD's since! But i soon found out that it is only using 1 of the 4 cores! Its reading 4 cores in the POST message but when i get to XP or Vista i only have 1 Core and 1 thread! Anyone know how to enable my Quad core? BTW all 4 cores are enabled in the BIOS! EDIT: I fixed this after 3 CPU Reseats, 6 Windows Installs, and 1 BIOS Flash! After the 6th Reinstall it finnaly worked!

the problem is they all say Enabled next to them! So is they another setting i need to enable? I reset the CMOS, loaded the Fail-Safe Settings, and even tryed loading he Optized Settings but none of those helped this problem!

something similar happened to me when I had an E6600, only 1 of the cores was enabled. I think that it was a result of blindly overclocking without any real testing. I just punched in 400x9 and typed in some random number for vcore. It was no where near stable and only one core showed to be running. When I raised the vcore, both cores showed to be operating.
