Guys! During the stock clocks @ 2.83 with 1.25 voltage my idle temp is 50C in RealTemp 3.0 and it is 74C loaded!!
I tried to OC to @ 3.4 with 1.30 voltage and had just the same result with temps.
I build this PC 7 months ago and adjusted a good thermal paste for my Vendetta, do you think I have to change the paste or am I doing something wrong?

Also I increased my DRAM voltage to 2.2V because on corsair website it says that my DDR's voltage is 2.2v. Does the DRAM voltage increase core temp maby?

Another strange thing is - I can't get stable @ 3.4 Mhz with 1.31 Voltage.
I'm not quite sure with my DRAM. It is set to 1066 and default is 1066 wit 5-5-5-15 timings, but it is 3:4 probably this is the problem, what should I do then?
My specs

I got my cooler reseated, and got the VCORE down to 1.13125 in the BIOS and after running Intel Burn Test for 25 times on High Stress Level, my max temps were 54-53-49-53. Quite a difference from the original temps!

I don't know if I should keep lowering the VCORE, of if I should go for a higher OC?

If I were to try for a higher OC, what would I have to do as far as the RAM?

4GHz on a nvidia chipset will be a battle but it can be done. will take lots of work but i bet you can get there. the nvidia chipset tops out at about 1800MHz stable on quads. so it will take a lot of tweaking to get the magic 4.0GHz.

that is an AMAZING vid for a Q9550 E0. you my good sir have a golden chip in your hands there. low temps and high clocks will be coming your way. keep us posted with what you are able to do with that thing.

I am in the same boat. Waiting for Q9550 to get back to me after RMA'ing it to Intel. Maybe I will get lucky and get an E0 instead of the C1 I had.
