what is the VID of your chip, and what about other voltages such as vtt, vnb, vPLL ?

What settings are you using? Maybe we can help you. Also, not every chip is the same. Some will run stable with certain voltages where as others won't.

My settings are far from perfect. They still need a little tweaking.

I finally installed my q9550 and checked the vid. 1.2125 was what coretemp said....

Doesn't sound like a very good one Is that a good VID? I'm not sure what range I should be expecting.

We'll see though. I'm going to see how easy it is to hit 3.2 - 3.6 tonight. Hopefully my 780i can cut the mustard.

It's really fast at stock speeds and it loads 10c lower than my q6600 did. Right around 41C running p95. Oh and I'm very pleased my core temps sensors are all within 2-3C of each other.

i tried OCing my machine. the farthest i can go is 3.05 Ghz

VID really doesn't mean much, though yours would be considered good
