I'm not a Q9550 owner as of yet, but am thinking about picking one up.
Right now I'm running a e8500 E0 @ 4.3 ghz 24/7 on a UD3P MB and its a dream.
Will I see that much better performance from a Q9550 and would this added performance be worth spending $300?

I'm a huge AMD fan and have been waiting on the Phenom II's to release, but not real convinced they are going to perform as well as I would have hoped. I'm going to keep and eye on the posts of others that do pick one up and may get one a little later.

Thanks

The first benchies I've seen for the Phenom II put it a bit above the Q9xxx series but well below Core i7. The Q9550 would make a great upgrade for you now.

Seems like normal vdroop.

Is it really sufficient to just ask for a CPU-Z validation as proof of stability? I can validate at 4.25GHz no problem but it sure as heck won't be stable.
