honestly 5.99$ for something that weighs like .1 pound and is shipping from a warehouse 30 minutes from me?
you will thank yourself for getting the backplate. you can run your s1283 with the push pins till you order enough to make getting the backplate online worth it. i didn't get the backplate till later when i had a big order (swapped cpus, e2200 to q9550). its just intel style puish pins are junk, and the s1283 is really heavy compaired to smaller coolers that have the stupid push pins. that is why other tower coolers like the true and tunic come with a backplate and bolt-thru mounting.

Its best to never leave settings on 'Auto'. Your board could be overvolting it without you knowing. Go into the bios and set your RAM at the manufacturers settings ie 2.1v 5-5-5-15 1100mhz. If you are overclocking its best to relax the timings on the ram to increase stability until you get the CPU overclock set. Then you can look at overclocking the RAM. In overclocking its always best to take 1 step at a time so you know exactly what you increases stability and what doesn't.

Yeah it's strange but i couldn't hit anything above 3.4 because i was using ram on recommended settings. Now i'm at 3.6 and trying to stabilize 3.7 which seems impossible. What do you think i should up first? cpu term freaks me out cuz i heard high cpu term does not mean stable always. MCH is 1.32. What's the highest voltage i can go? 1.5?

for MCH don't go above 1.4v max

for cpu termination 1.30v ~ 1.32v should be enough to hit 3.8GHz

The thing is i don't know it's "anatomy" but when i up cpu term i can't even hit 3.6. When i lower it i can but then i can't hit 3.7. Strange dilemmas

I don't know. 50 LinX passes. That's it. Cpu term is 1.200v stock. When i down it , it gives bsod. When i up it gives error. What's the safe cpu term voltage?

I think most of us use 1.300v, I use 1.300v personally, your CPU Reference is set to Auto?

Hmmm. I think my problem is my ram modules. They act really silly under different circumstances. MCH is @ 1.38 so i don't think that's the problem. Vcore is 1.325v but 1.296v in cpu-z. I'm curious about something. Does Too much vcore cause instability?
