Plugout/Twisted are gonna hate me for this, but I'm currently 2 hours into a prime95 session @ 1.23 vcore, lol

How are you guys getting 4GHz with 1.23v lol. I can't even do that with 1.36. I don't get it.

You went from a Phenom II 940 to a Q9550? They are pretty much the same processor

Well, during transport of my pc, the Cooler jumped OFF my motherboard and ripped off my Phenom II, by the way bracking the motherboard. So i had to buy a new MoBo And CPU. And after Phenom II 940 i really see the Performance increase! 3000 points more in 3DMARK on CPU Test. AMD is far behind the 9550, atleast with the current Phenom II 940

Ouch, sorry to hear about that. Glad you like your new cpu though. I've seen quite a few people get 4ghz on the P5Q Deluxes

This is my first post here, so a big HELLO to everybody.. I'm trying to OC my q9550 to 4 ghz but that elusive number keeps baffling me.. I've had my system for a few months at around 3.8-3.9 ghz cpu/1081mhz ram running fairly stable (a few occasional crashes here and there) so I decided to invest some time to finally stabilize it and hit the 4 ghz barrier.. I've tried almost everything for 2 days now, read every thread i could find and trying every configuration posted but none is working for me.. Currently I'm at 475 FSB running ram at 950mhz (1:1) trying to exclude the ram from the equation.. I've set all the ram timings to auto and will work on it once I get my cpu straight.. I've passed Memtest86+ default tests just fine, so I'd say my problems are not ram related.. I can't get more than 5-10 min in OCCT.. it always fails on one of the cores.. any suggestion is welcome.. here's my current config..

by passing 100 passes LinX, for sure not your CPU who got you failing prime, maybe some other settings failed you in prime, but your problem is not your CPU instability. maybe your PSU or your mobo voltage regulator, sometimes it feeds correctly the voltage and sometimes it doesn't I passed 10 hours prime95 blend, but I would get random BSOD, tested with LinX and I failed after 25 min, raised vcore and I passed 2 hours and till now I didn't get any BSOD
