did you install sound card drivers specific to your motherboard or did you just let vista install them automatically? bccode 124 is related to sound drivers

some results say its from nvidia drivers too so i don't really know

ones from gigabyte disk gave me a blue screen while gaming, they're usually a couple versions out of date but if they don't give you a problem don't worry

Update on my squeeling/sizzling computer noises : Its coming from my hard drive! Yes...when I run linx or prime95 I get sizzling noises from my hard drive!? What the hell is this ****? I don't get any noise like this from running HDtune, what could it be? I'm really glad its not my motherboard/PSU

Right click "My Computer" and select "properties", click "advanced system settings", go down to "startup and recovery" and click "settings", under "system failure" uncheck "automatically restart" then click ok. this will stop windows from rebooting on a BSOD. Next time you get one write down the error (it will say up top example: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA ) and the hex value (example 0x0000000050).
