Hello all,

I just received my Q9550 BNIB from d0gZpAw on this forum Gonna be checking it out over the weekend but here's a snap to prove it's really mine, sitting on my bed and then a close-up of the CPU window while both the camera and the box are sitting on the PNY Geforce 8800GT I got from Valicious.

Edit: Added a very cruddy picture (the best I could do) of the bar-coded side of the box.

Default 3.4GHz with stock voltages!

Man this Gigabyte MB is awesome! Excellent layout, great features, good price and great overclocking! So far with stock voltages I've managed to get to 3.4Ghz so far!

With this new MB I've dropped 1 degree C idle on average... but at overclock speeds I've dropped over 5 degree C!!!

You want proof?

Hello everyone,

I finally got my Q9550 in and have officially validated it. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=572858

Specs: Q9550 @ stock 2.83 GHz, normal operating voltage. CoreTemp reports a VID of 1.225 V, no screenie for that but will get one if desired.

welcome to OCN! 4.0GHz is plenty fast for a quad like the Q9550. now to get a 3DMark06 score higher than 25000 you would prob need crossfire or sli with hd4870's or gtx 280's respectively.
