I have Q9550 E0 @ 3.502 GHz (412 x 8.5) 1.30 Vcore (bios)
Linpack stable ![]() For some reason it says it was rejected by CPU-Z. It's legit believe me.

Well just got my q9550 this weekend upgraded from e8500 I got in April '08.
__________________Tonight was my 1st real attempt at an OC of it after reading some good posts here. I got 4.0ghz with 8.5*471 stable for 45min Prime95 (ran out of time before bed) settings I used were 1.3625vcore (bios) 1.41 NB 1.32 VTT vdroop (disabled, intel spec) ie yes I do get vdroop everything else on lowest setting I could choose ram running 1:1 for now at 5-5-5-15, 2.1v ----- http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=599538 Planning to run a stress test tomorrow for about 2hrs and then work it down on my vcore etc once I know this is stable. I did notice however I couldn't post with vtt below 1.34 and couldn't pass windows loading without NB above 1.35, I jumped from 1.35v to 1.41v on NB and went from 2min crash on desktop to 45 prime95 stable Anyone want to give a quick synopsis of the difference in what vtt effects and NB. Vtt is more focused on FSB allowing you to up the fsb higher past 450 ect right? NB is more focused on data from the Mobo to the memory? With the higher FSB I needed more NB voltage for the ram? (asking b/c i'd eventually like to run the ram at 6:5 divider for 1130 but I don't want to have to run 1.6 on the NB even though I stay at about 40c max on it. ps.... for the 45min run on prime core1 got the hottest at 54c and all others maxed out at either 49-51c

No. I'm still using Vista x64. Apparently validation doesn't work very good on x64.

I have a C1 running at 436 times 8.5 Also known as 3.71 Ghz. Vcore is at 1.2685 ( 1.25 idle/1.27 load ) With VTT at 1.3 and vNB at 1.3. Anything abose 440 Mhz FSB is unstable. Even with high voltages and GTL tweaking.
