I also got to POST at 4.40Ghz but it froze once I got into Vista. I think my FSB is going to hold me back. (voltage) I'm also gonna have to wait until I get my GTX 240 rad installed in my loop before I start pumping more voltage through the CPU. My temps are acceptable right now - considering i'm using a dual 92mm black ice gtx rad (GTX 184) to cool the cpu and northbridge. Temps average 35c idle and 60c under max load

hey guys, I've got a problem.
__________________I overclocked my Q9550 E0 to 3.4 GHz with 1.235V (1.20V idle & 1.18V full on Windows, without LLC). I've succeeded an OCCT for 2h30 while using Windows Seven 64 bits, but I've failed the same one, after few minutes, while using XP Pro 32 Bits. I've often got some crashs when playing Team Fortress 2, but I've got crashs again, even by setting my Q9550 at 3.3 GHz , before It worked, even with a lower vcore. I need some help, thanks.

Enable LLC and try your Vcore at 1.25 in the BIOS.

I'm at 3.8GHz and the only way to keep it stable is by using 1.36vcore (cpuz) and LLC

It's always best to do that, so that the thread does not get derailed every few posts.

Got mine up to 3.6 from 3.4 while still staying at default voltage at 1.225. It was stable at 3.4 for 16+hrs and currently still is at 3.6.

I've checked my Q9550's VID and unfortunately, it's a 1.25 VID : the highest Q9000's VID, I guess I'm not lucky at all.
