Well, since Intel announced the price drop for this Monday, I'm going to put off a complete rebuild and just swap out my X6800 for a Q9650 for another year.

All I really want out of it is hopefully a 4.0ghz O/C 24/7 Stable to run a GTX 260 Core 216 SLI setup, rest of my specs are in my Sig, dunno if a 780i will pull it off though...

I am hoping to get my Q9650 in about two to three weeks. By then hopefully they will be alittle cheaper. If not I will get one anyway. Thinking about spending about $150 on a CPU water cooler kit. Hopefully it will allow me to get 4.5 or higher. We shall see.

With the recent price drop I have been eying one of these up as my main proc for this rig
with the e8400 as a backup. And seeing how all you are faring Its the logical choice for me since I am not going I7 for a while .

Welcome to the club please post your voltage and I will be glad to list you. Also you might be able to get to 4.0 without changing your voltages I know I could. If not go up as far as you can then start increasing the v. Please keep us up to date... Thanks and Good luck
