just listing games on MY games list that support quads. cod4, cod5, c&c3 crysis, crysis warhead/wars, dead space, fallout 3, farcry 2, GoW, ghost recon adv warfighter, GTA IV, mass effect.. there are about 10 more that support in MY games list.......... get the quad

three years ago, overcloked dual core qere the fastest things in existance. But now, games and apps are starting to use multiple cores. Now the war is on Quad versus Octocore , such as Nehalem.
Dual are dead... well, maybe not, they can still run vista fine for grandma's computer. Of course, if you had a Dual Core system with an E8500, you could o'c it to 4.0 ghz and spend all of your mother on what count for playing games: The graphics card.

Dual core is better right now, unless you are doing some serious multitasking. For gaming all you need is a dual core and in the case of gaming a dual core with a faster clock is better than a quad core with a lower clock. Only the newest of games can utilize all four cores.
