Wow, the best I ever got myself was a 40% overclock.


I always get the worst chips

I wonder if my chip can match yours, my idle is 38/39, load 59/60 at 2.9 ghz and 1.28 vcore.

I'm on a "free after rebate" cooler.

Anybody else running their chips at 45 idle 70 hot??
If so I would like to get past 3 ghz for kicks.

My chip was unstable with 3 ghz 1.3 vcore though.

One of my largest limiting factors (which I largely ignored when I got started with the chip) was northbridge voltage - I am currently running my MCH at 1.42v in order to keep things stable.

Im a noob, so whats MCH?
My OC process is like:
bios, up FSB, check stability
rinse and repeat

I can't find any other things to modify in my bios, nothing like ram timings or "MCH" i dont think ive ever seen that.

MCH is northbridge voltage - I am almost certain your DS3L would have it, but as I've never used one I could not tell you how to get there.
