Intel Overclocker
![]() |
Use BiOS to tweak your CPU..
Make your voltage 1.3625 (if it fails to boot, dont be afraid to go all the way to 1.4vCore), and in Windows you'll be at like 1.31 (about). Bump up your multiplier to 9.5, with a FSB of 425. Make sure your Memory is at 1:1 ratio (use 2.00D/B) for best results while overclocking. Now bump up your voltage for the MCH Core to 1.30, no higher.. Also bump your Memory voltage to its rated (usually 2.0-2.1, says on RAM packaging or Newegg). Also select the timings manually at its rated speeds. Just so you know, this is why I never ever recommend 800Mhz RAM, should have spent 5-10 more bucks for 1066 and have no memory issues while overclocking.. And yes, your RAM will be overclocked with my settings to 850MHz, but should be fine and this will take you over 4GHz! Upgrade your RAM to a 1066MHz module and you'll see 4.5GHz on good temps, to as high as 5.0Ghz! But, one thing..USE THE BIOS Oh by the way, once you hit 4.0GHz and higher, you'll see a big increase in vCore. Don't worry, just don't pass 1.4000 vCore and you're 100% fine. In windows then you'll run 1.37 vCore, which is slightly over the 'max' suggested 1.3625!
