most dell/compaq ect mobos are unOCable. They don't have the options built into them. Go to bios and check out ur settings to see for sure. If there are options allowing you to change your FSB and multiplier, then ur set. CHeck out the overcloking guide on this site too.

you get to the bios by restarting your computer, and then pressing the delete (not backspace) key until a menu comes up. It'll be blue/grey or blue/red or blue/yellow, and it'll have a bunch of options on it.

On this website, go to the search menu at the top and type in overclocking guide, then look for the thread that says "Intel overclocking guide" by noaffinity. It'll give you a detailed description on what ur trying to do, and if you have questions after that just post them

are there any options to change, ie. Multiplier, FSB, voltage, Ram freq? If there are not, then your motherboard, like most manufactuer PC's, isn't meant for OCing. You can download a program called CPUCool and try that. It may allow you to change ur frequency through windows. ALso DL MBM 5 and run that, to monitor ur temps. Try to stay under 55 degrees Celcius Usually the only way to OC is if you buy/build a custom computer, not using any dell/compaq ect. parts.
