So my goal here is 4GHZ, and upon entering the BIOS I was a little lost to say the least. ALOT different then the Q6600 that i'm upgrading from.
I've done some reading about various things like QPI etc, but I am still a bit lost. So if anyone that has the board in question could help me out here it would be mucho appreciated. ![]() I'm on water so temps are not an issue. I'd like to focus on the CPU first and leave the RAM till later.

This board annoys me. If you enter a setting it doesn't like, even a cmos reset won't allow a reboot. I've had to shut the power off manually a number of times. I have no idea what voltages or other settings to use. I know it differs between setups. The dummy OC works like a charm though.

set ur vcore to 1.35v, keep your mem divider to 2:6, disable intel speedstep and turbo boost... Gradually increse the bclk untill u get no post... You should find a limit at around 200 bclk

I can't get past 170bclk on those settings. This thing hates voltage. I tried 1.4v vcore and it just shut's down. Latest bios has been flashed.

I used Jacob's guide & it got me to 4.0 stable with a vcore of 1.30.

Maybe try 190 x 19 ( 3.6GHz)with a 1.30 vcore to start with, I've heard these boards like odd numbers & leave the ram @ 2:8.
