Yes, that is exactly what intel has put out in its documentation recently. Intel made the system to do what they needed it to do; it warns them when the chips are getting too hot. They don't care how cold they are.

+ rep, Good info mate, a lot are confused and don't understand the Tj Max. Everyone always freaks out over all the different temps they get from apps, hopefully this will help.

Mmm I set my Tjmax to 100 on my Q6600. At stock it idles at 23 at load it hits 34. So If I were to use TJmax of 90, I'd get 24 on load? My ambient is around 18-20 degrees so.... werid.

This is at stock. OCed to 3.6 at 1.358 volts my idle is around 32 and load of 50s. I lowered the voltage on stock to around 1.2V so maybe thats why.

Same thing for me, I get 25-24-21-23 with the Tj to 90c now in Coretemp, but When I feel the air with my hand, it feels like room temp, not the 35-40c it was at when the Tj was 100, and my room would be A LOT hotter since it would be blowing out 95f heat, but that is not the case. and my room is 75f(23.9c)

Just remember that the low temps don't really mean anything, and according to Intel any temperature reading below 50C only means that it's below 50C. I honestly think that a load of 24C even at stock is very improbable. The uncertainty could put your actual temp as high as 50C.
