Default Hopefully its only a matter of time

Doing a google search for --> windows freezes beeps <-- in the last 24 hours returns 323 results and for the last week a 1060 results - so it seems this is becoming a more popular problem.

I keep updating Malwarebytes anti-malware, which seems to be one of the best "anti" software, hoping they'll add the fix at some point.

----------------

Regarding replacing your harddrive with a fresh copy of windows (or formatting your harddrive and re-installing windows) - Yes, there is no doubt that will fix a software problem caused by a virus, that is, a corruption of the various system files that run Windows.

Copying back your data files (I would be careful about copying back any executable files) shouldn't be a problem.

----------------

Btw, after logging in from suspend mode this mornign (I assumed still in debugging) system froze... re-boot with debugging mode and everything is fine...

I did a google search by date as well, and it seems as if there are currently a ton of people experiencing the exact same thing as us as well. Something is definitely up.

I hope a fix shows up sooner or later.

Still nothing eh? I haven't tried anything since my computer is still running in debugging mode (about 24 hours now) with no freezes.

My computer has actually gotten worse, even when im not using it the freeze occurs withing 15-20 min of turning the computer on. I think im about to just try to reformat and see if that works.

Yeah, sometimes mine even freezes upon start up.

That's gonna be my last resort. I'm gonna wait it out a little longer.

I need to back up my hardrive first, but I can't even do that because it would just freeze up in the middle of doing it. No idea what to do at this point :/

I don't think all of us in this thread have a Dell. I personally have a Sony VAIO.

I checked my event log, and there are no error codes at the time of the freezes.

Hello all
Another one joins the club

Same problems ;no problems in debugging mode though.

I put a new image from my school on my laptop a few days ago( which basicly means everything got deleted and reinstalled, including windows xp) and at first it seemed to help.

After installing the newest version of firefox and msn, and copying the old firefox aplication data back, the problem came back.

Now i don't know what to do. I think i will try it again, but now i wont copy any old files back, and see if that was really the cause.

It's either heat from CPU or it's the RAM that's dying.. like they said,, gl,
