Hey all
1) When stress testing with Prime95, which version of the torture tests should I do? Small FFTs, In-place Large FFTs, Blend, or some random custom one? 2) When doing the tests, my second core is faster than the other. Like right now, its two tests ahead of the first core. No errors, no overheating, just a speed difference. Any idea what's making this happen? 3) Generally, how many volts should an e8400 need to be stable at 4GHz? Thanks a ton!

Howdy,
I'll answer your questions in the order in which they were presented. 1. First do small FFTs. That will show that your CPU overclock is stable, but won't test your northbridge or memory. After you're sure your overclock is stable for one full pass on small FFTs, then move on to blend to test overall stability. 2. That's fine. It happens with all of mine, too. The best explanation I can think of is that one core is slightly loaded by keeping the system running, and that leads to the slowdown. 3. I use 1.30625v for my E8400 at 4.050GHz. It is 17-hour Prime95 stable. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
