I hate to say but I have been doing some reading on these x58 Gigabyte boards and they top out at 190blck or 3.9ghz or there abouts. So that right there tells you they aren't the best overclockers. But yours seems to fall just short of the average. I know, I was of no help whatsoever. My advice is to sell that board and get something else.

Can you get any better results with Turbo enabled? Also try a 19x multi.

I did s simple gogle search of UD4P and Extreme reviews as well as a thread search on here. I'm not saying they are terrible, just don't expect 4ghz out of them.

I got mine to 3.8GHz easy on stock cooler (GA-EX58-EXTREME) but the temps were obviously pretty high (90-95C in Prime95) so I put everything back to factory default settings.

Just got my TRUE yesterday so I'm gonna give it another go after class.

There are lots of different batches of the C0 chips with some OC'ing better than others. There's also the D0 that people are getting now that supposedly run on lower voltages and OC a bit better but that's still gonna take time to tell for sure.

what batch # ?
Some batches just do not clock very well.
F6b is the newest bios, for that board, I think, lol.
My other 920 with an Asus P6 board takes a lot of v core to be stable at 3.9Ghz 1.45 in Cpuz.

What is your v core in Cpuz ?
Why disable LLC?
What is your PLL volatge?
try to use odd multi's, 19 or 21

ok i checked its C0/C1 thats for sure. Cpu-Z is like 1.392 something like that. How do you get your Mult to 21 ? i cant get higher then 20 ?

should i enable load line Calibration ?

will touching the QPI give me lower Vcore at same OC settings ?. i heard they said you can get the same oc speed with lower Vcore if you up the QPI ? But if i touch that i cant even post

thanks
