funny thing is C1 owners seem to have easier times reaching 4ghz.

Definately do not buy it, there is a microcenter near you selling one new for 170 I think .

For the price of a new one, he should just go to an i7 setup with a used chip for under 200$ and a good mobo for 250$ or less
