No, the UD3R is a better overclocker. Not saying the P5Q is bad though, but between those 2 the UD3R is hands down the best choice.

I have both the P5Q Pro and the UD3P. The UD3P is way better. But if you want to go with Asus because of....brandname? That's fine with me

Asus service isn't all that either, I'm still waiting for them to send me a new board since I send in a dead Asus board 2 months ago. Horrible RMA handling.

What Andy said is 100% true. And the general consensus of OCN.
Though, I'd also like to state, that to me, the UD3 has a Bettery layout apposed to the P5Q Pro.
That's all I really can add. Besides I enjoy the Gigabyte BIOS layout more.
But that is because 70% of my boards have been Gigabyte. And Asus has given me trouble in the past. Back in the Socket A days. But thats long gone.

****...now i have a problem...the guy that is selling me the p5q offers me a q6600 with it... the price for the p5q and the q6600 together is 300$ with 18 months warranty...if i take the ud3r and the q8200 it costs me 375$...that's not a small difference and there is no way that he would sell only the q6600

I would take the P5Q with the q6600 without thinking twice.

finaly i got the board and cpu...now i have a couple of questions

is it better to have 3.6ghz per core and 1066mhz on ram or 3.53ghz and 1176mhz on ram

for the 3.6 i ned to set up like this

CPU Voltage: 1.45v
Cpu GTL Reference- 0.63x
Cpu PLL- 1.7v
DRAM Voltage - 2.2v
NB voltage- 1.5v
FSB Termination Voltage- 1.5v

and for the 3.53ghz like this

CPU Voltage: 1.43v
Cpu GTL Reference- 0.63x
Cpu PLL- auto
DRAM Voltage - 2.2v
NB voltage- auto
FSB Termination Voltage- auto

the second option is better?

the 70mhz won't make much of a difference.

But the 100mhz on the RAM will.

I'd go with your option 2.
