Just thought I would share my experience with the E6300.
System: Antec Sonata III ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo Intel E6300 with AC Freezer 7 pro Mushkin XP2-8500 4 GB Seagate 1 TB HD LG DVDRW Creative Audigy SE 7.1 Sapphire Tech 4870 1 GB with AC Twin Turbo running at 825 / 1025. (750 / 900 stock) I have the CPU running @ 4.0 GHZ (400 x 10), mem set at stock 1066, vcore @ 1.35V, mem @ 2.0V. Computer runs 100% stable. The computer is pretty much silent except for when the CPU is loaded, but even then the Freezer 7 Pro is pretty quiet, and I can't tell anyway because if it ever has to ramp up it's because i'm gaming and wouldn't be able to hear the CPU fan over the speakers anyway I set the AC twin turbo fans @ 75%, which as far as I can tell is almost silent.Prime95 after 15 minutes, CPU runs at 69 degrees. Prime95 for 1 hour, CPU runs at 70 degrees. After running the ATI cube for 15 minutes, GPU hits a max of 60. After running the ATI cube for 1 hour, GPU hits a max of 62. When i'm playing a game, I haven't seen the CPU go over 65, or GPU go over 57. Perfectly acceptable in my world! All in all I would say the E6300 is a pretty sweet little chip! ![]()

That is part of the Wolfdale Family so the Voltage should be close to the brothers.
Here you are. * Wolfdale 45 nm process technology o Intel Pentium E5400 - 2.70 GHz (2MB L2,800 MHz FSB) o Intel Pentium E5300 - 2.60 GHz (2MB L2,800 MHz FSB) o Intel Pentium E5200 - 2.50 GHz (2MB L2,800 MHz FSB) o Intel Pentium E6300 - 2.80 GHz (2MB L2,1066 MHz FSB)

Hi All
First time here. Seems most active with details on the new E6300 which I have. I can't get mine to be stable at 3.8Ghz let alone going to 4Ghz. I suspect it could be my memory setting but not the best at all the deatails with overclocking. I'm running a Gigabyte Mobo with F9 bios. Can someone look at my settings and tell me what I need to change. It seems if I change my DRAM Multiplier it won't boot unless on Auto? ![]() BIOS F9 MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.) Alright. So all I really done was lower the Voltage (VCore) and instead of Auto for the Advanced Timing Control [Press Enter], I set this manually to what it was on auto.
Set CPU speed to 3.8Ghz and booted no probs, tried 3.88 no issues and ran fine for the whole day. Will bump it up again!. |
