Question Help!! Lost my OC after BIOS update!? Totally confused pls help!

I updated my motherboard (Asus P5N-D) from the default BIOS it came with (v0402) to version 1001. After doing so, my 3.8Ghz o/c (3.798ghz) was lost, and it now downclocks to 2.532ghz in CPU-Z. The cpu multiplier also drops from 9x to 6x, respectively. I'm not sure what to do. Please help!

Attached are 5 photos. Please take a look and tell me what I've done wrong or what I can change.

Thank you!

Any pertinent computer build info is in the sig.

First off the general rule is to reset your BIOS to stock when you do a flash.

Anyway, since you've already done the flash, then I would suggest using the BIOS's "load default settings" option and then re-do your overclock and other stuff. The downclocking seems odd especially as you have C1E and SpeedStep turned off.

I wish I had known of this rule before I flashed.

Yeah, I'll set it to default and see what happens. Are C1E and SpeedStep the only two items that could downclock it?

As far as I know, yes. They're what enable power saving and automatic speed adjustment of a CPU, which is fine if you don't wish to run full-out all the time, but if you do, then disabling them fixes things,

I hit F5 to reset the BIOS to defaults. Now my comp boots, but it locks up about 20 seconds after I get to the desktop.

Any ideas?

Go back into Bios and make sure your Ram voltages are correct-- Timings as well-- Ram speed---PCIe -set to 100 and all other voltages correctly applied for the speed you are running

PCIe: 100 Mhz
Voltage Control: Everything (VCore, DRAM, HT, NB, SB) is set to Auto
FSB: Linked (FSB: 1333; Mem: 800)
Mem Timing: 4-4-4-15 (this is what was on the back of the pkg for the DIMMs)
Primary Display Adapter: PCIe

Am I missing anything?

EDIT: Those are basically the settings that came w/ the comp at initial purchase.

Rule of thumb: reset CMOS then flash. Reboot then reset CMOS again. Then Reboot & set OC in bios again.

Are you overclocking now or stock? I always manually set the voltages (stock) at whatever the BIOS suggests. Don't leave any settings on AUTO, If you can input them manually--stock & OC.. If you leave PCIe on auto it will go crazy when you raise FSB. Set it to 100. If you have your previous OC settings they should work again or something very close to them. Make sure the ram speed does not exceed specs when you raise FSB.
