Now that I think about it, whenever I set my VCORE to 1.3 my system won't boot up at all, even when the system is set to the same OC that was stable i.e. 3.8Ghz at a lower VCore of 1.25. Is it because I have left my CPU Termination on auto?

It very well could be the reason. Not sure why it would have to change now tho when it was stable previously without changing it. Either way, see what happens if you bump the VTT (FSB termination voltage) by one notch and test for stability again. Just try not to go higher than 1.3 because there is really no need for that. Just remember tho, I am referring to VTT and not CPU vCore.

Reason I tried VCore at 1.3 was because I tried 1.275V for 4ghz and it POSTed but it wasn't stable, so I thought I'd push it 2 notches up. But at 1.3V it wouldn't even POST.

Anyways, thank you for the suggestions, I can't wait to go home and try it out.

CPU Term is vtt on the UD3P---MCH Core is northbridge. I try to keep CPU Term about 2 or 3 notches below V-Core. As far as MCH Core when you reach 400 FSB you generally need more voltage on NB to sustain overclock. I don't leave any voltages on auto in BIOS. I manually set them to what the BIOS reccomends or higher as needed. If the BIOS does not offer the same voltage as reccomended I choose "normal".

edit: in an earlier post you said you tried to install an OS with 535 FSB and 7.5 multi. Do NOT install OS when overclocked. Also I would use the highest multi and less FSB for OC--just my 2 cents.

Just want to update on my E8500 OC. I seem to have gotten it stable at 4.05Ghz (445x9) with:
1.3VCore (CPUz shows 1.26-1.28)
VTT at 1.26
MCH Core at 1.20
I've yet to see the result on a 10 hr OCCT (damn neighborhood lost power while I was at work), but how does this chip sound with the OC I have?

err, I finally got my OCCT result in. My E8500 at 4ghz (445x9) was able to run OCCT stabley for 350 mins (10 mins short of 6 hours) before an error popped out. Is my OC good or should I tweak it some more?

BIOS is currently set at:
LLC enabled
1.3V VCore
1.26V VTT
1.2V MCH Core
1.2V ICH Core
rest are manually set to the normal value

Whats your ram voltage set to?

Have you tried just leaving voltages except for ram and vcore on auto and see if your stable?

I find it strange that I can achieve a 1ghz overclock with 1.28v in bios stable for 6 hours but you cant with a 900mhz overclock @ 1.3v with an e8500

My DRAM Voltage is set to 2.1V; the Corsair memory is rated for 1066 @ 2.1V, the memory is running at 1068mhz but I'm pretty sure it's not the problem with the memory

When you are running a FSB of 445 you MCH needs to be higher than 1.2v. All of the other settings look good. You might be able to lower your V-core a little if you raise the MCH Core
