Alright here it goes, I have a MSI 915P combo with a P4 3.4ghz proc 550 model with 1gb of some samsung memory pc3200(crap i think). This is all watercooled and i'm running CPU temps of 26-28C and sys temps of 30-32C. I can't get this to overclock at all. I've tried 215 FSB and my comp won't even post. Is there something seriously wrong here. I'm mean i've oc'd at least 25 comps and i've never seen anything like this. I mean I know the only real downside to this rig is the memory but I should be able to at least get 3.6, 3.75, or even higher out of this right? I would grealty apprciate any suggestions you guys might have.

I'm also going to order some new memory for this as well... I was thinking either 667 or 800 anyone have any good experiences with any particular modules. I was thinking either Corsair XMS or Crucial Ballistiz

Have you tried a devider on the RAM? I think that is your problem.

. It says my VCore is at 2.20V, I could only wish my core would run 2.20V @ 33*C ![]() Trust the BIOS instead of CPU-Z , CPU-Z is only a nice indicator for some things.

Also did you lock the PCI-E (or AGP) and PCI locks on your board at 100.0MHz/33.3MHz (66.6MHz for AGP) as they can cause issues with the system and problems with stablability. Investing in some new memory would be an excellent idea though. Try and keep the memory in a 1:1 ratio with the FSB however, but if it really won't do it then follow SoaDMTGguy's excellent advise and set a divider. As already mentioned in previous posts CPU-Z can not always detect the correct voltages, it does happen to detect the correct values on my system though, so it can work ![]() Now the vcore in the BIOS will be correct, however, when your CPU is running at 100% the vcore will be a little different than what you see in the BIOS, but it will still be around the same level as what it was set at.
