i have a 1.7ghz socket 478... it's currently running on my msi motherboard that supports both sdram & ddr & i'm running on the sdrams. i've purchase a pc2700 ddr for that motherboard & remove the sdram. turn on my motherboard no video going through my monitor.

so currently you just have 1 stick of DDR memory in it correct?
If you have 1 stick of the DDR memory and 1 stick of the SDram, it wont work..

The new mobo doesn't support your CPU: http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...UID=501&kind=1. Do as iker0 said on the original mobo.

Another thought: possibly there is a jumper on the mobo which will affect whether it addresses the SD-RAM or DDR slots. Check your manual.
