Did 16x multiplier and 200 MHz BLCK now and lost 3 degrees during Prim95 :-)

Guess I now just have to apply some Arctic Silver 5 the correct way (and get a new fan for my ASUS Triton 88, coz DAMN those 20db they talked about is a LIE when the CPU is under stress.

Was wondering what is the exact effect of:
High multiplier & low BLCK
vs
Low multiplier & high BLCK

I had to lower my RAM freqency too, its now 1603 MHz (the 2nd option in the list - old 1333) as opposed to 1604 MHz (the 3rd or 4th option - the one that is 1600 if BLCK is 133) - does this mean anything?

About my RAM (just tossing that in here - gonna make it a thread of its own also), how low latency can I get on the Corsair Dominator 1600? I can get it to 8-8-8-24 1T without problems (havent messed around with that tho) but think I saw it auto to 8-8-8-20 1T when I OC'ed my mates PC to 133x20 (we have exact same rigs)

You should try setting the following safe voltages:

vcore: 1.25v (will load much lower in windows)
PLL: 1.80v
QPI: 1.25v
ICH: 1.15v
IOH: 1.15v
ram: 1.65v

As for D0 chips, it seems the average 4.0GHz OC is with 1.25v vcore (as shown by CPU-Z in windows). So if you are going for 3.8GHz, you should have no problems running 1.25v vcore
The chip can run perectly fine up to 1.35v vcore without any damage at all. The issue though is heat at that vcore. I personally cant go higher then 1.30v vcore because of my temps.

As for ram, just try to lower the timings. I have the G.Skill Trident 3x2Gb 2000 kit running 1611 at 6-7-6-18 1T.
