uebergang01 4.2Ghz- 1.265v i dont know batch number, do i have to take it out to get the batch no.? I have just got a new air cooler and dont want to take it off again(i only have push pins)
I dont know if this is the highest stable clock speed, this is just the highest i have had it, p95 rums fine all day with no errors max temp 55-58 but if i use intel burn test it goes up 60-65. I wouldnt going up 4.4 what voltages do you recomend, and are there any other settings i should worry about? Ah here found the box, FOP/Batch # Q845B972.
I would like to go find a higher stable speed but im worried about the heat... I would like to go to 4.4 but im unsure about the vcore and RAM multiplier, i might need to up the RAM voltage. I think its was the RAM that was unstable lastime i ran it at 4.4 i dont know, maybe i just didnt have enough vcore but something was causing it to blue screen after 20-30 mins. I think i will drop the RAM multiplier right down and just test the CPU to find highest stable speed at the lowest vcore (that doesnt go over 65 C under load). Then work on getting the RAM settings right. Any suggestions? |

Really not familiar with ur board so someone else might need to take over now Im running mine 4.5ghz 24/7 stable with 1.45/1.47 vcore Idle is 29c Load is 65c (never really load it though) your 4.2ghz to 4.4ghz needs a big jump in Vcore if its like mine and a little NB Voltage Boost Take your 420fsb to 422fsb and try that (prime test) see how far u get just increasing by 2fsb u might be bale to get 4.34ghz with no extra settings,

I used CPU-z but dont think it matters.. My first post with a lower clock was from bios reading

It might matter on mine. I'm getting so hefty vdroop. BIOS setting - 1.38. Windows - 1.28 idle, 1.26 load.

That is hefty vdroop, dont your board have any kind of anti droop setting?
I usually post what my bios vcore is,i know they always drop a bit according to cpu-z.
