The required multiplier is probably re-evaluated every clock cycle, so you won't see any performance hit. I ran SuperPi comparing C1E on and off and the time differences were within the usual margin of variation. Another anomaly was that I could up my FSB around 25MHz higher with it enabled, as opposed to disabled.

Uh, EIST was Enabled default in my BIOS from the git-go.

EIST is controlled by the OS power management though, it is merely enabled/disabled in the BIOS. CxE on the other hand is OS independent.

lol was jsut getting this too glad i found this thread. my oc has been stable so far on ORTHOS for 4 hrs. i dunno if thats enough.

Stability is arbitrary. Some people say 48 hours of Prime95, others just play games and see if it's stable. If it is stable enough for your uses, it probably doesn't have to be able to crunch numbers 24/7. It's really up to you. I go with only 2 hours of Prime95, if that.
