I have a P5E64 WS EVOLUTION and an E8400 E0 with mushkin 996600 ddr3 1600 at 7-7-6-18. I am wondering what are the common voltages for PLL NB etc. and what voltages will I need to change going to 3.6 and 4.0
__________________I can get both 3.6 and 4.0 just fine I am having a random BSOD 124 code doing random things not stressing. I can pass all tests intel burn test etc. but it crashes randomly watching youtube etc. My board has no vdroop whatsover I dont know if the previous owner did a pencil mod or what but it never moves at all in cpu-z. This is what I have at 400x9 CPU 1.325 (1.304cpu-z) NB 1.31 and at 445x9 I have: CPU 1.4125 NB 1.41 From there I did set the fsb termination to 1.25 and the CPU PLL to 1.56 I believe but at this point I was kind of guessing so I am asking here basically when and what to change the CPU PLL and FSB term and NB voltages.

Ok thanks for that I guess I will geback to 4.05ghz and post a cpu-z so I have it when I join. I am trying to master it at 3.6 so I can get the idea of CPU PLL, FSB termination, NB, etc. when to use them what they are for exactly etc. What are the neighborhoods for those voltages etc.
__________________I am working on it Its just the random bsod I was having I thouoght was related to the OC when I know now it dosent so I was artificially bumping vcore etc and those voltages so I am out of reference right now and have to start back over. For instance it seems I need at least 1.31v to boot at 3.6 but I can leave everythign else at auto. at 4.0 I need 1.4 to stay stable I have a vid of 1.25 by the way.

What is the code that the blue screen says? Like IRQ_L or something like that.

I dont actual get a blue screen it always freezes the screen on windows. When I reboot I get a crash dump that says blue screen 124 adn I have the crash dumps saved allthough all I can get out of them is it says hardware error. I used the debug software to look at the crashdump.
__________________I swithced from an ide dvd to a sata and it still happened, then I unintstalled the sound drivers and it still happened. It happened twice when I was downloading on utorrent so at this point it is trully random the only time it dosent happen is durring stress testing etc. I am now running 445x9 and I have 1.4125 (1.384 CPU-Z) NB 1.41 fsb ter 1.26 CPU PLL 1.56 1.9v memory and I have them at 8-8-8-24 1780 right now instead of 1600 at 7-7-6-18 I am stable right now and I plan on trying to watch some old LEXX episodes Via my dvd drive so I can try to replicate it. I only saw the bluescreen once but I cant remember what it said. I am pretty sure it didnt say the standard irq less than or equal etc. But I am watching next time for sure. One more question.... when overclocking and the pc freezes instead of bsod or rebooting is that asign a certain voltage needs iincreased usually etc or not?

Well the only thing I see is your fsb term seems low. Might try to bump it a little and see how it go's. Sorry I'm not more help.

I upped the voltages but I just got the problem again today.
__________________Here is how it goes The PC always freezes, no actual BSOD no restart etc. I have never had any probs stress testing, memtest 10 passes multiple times, I did a HD scan using spinrite etc. I always geta a 124 bsod code. Can anyone check out my minidumps as I cant get heads or tails from it. I have a laser engraver/cutting machine and if someone can help me get thsi fixed I will hook them up with some custom stuff.

This is starting to sound more like a software problem. How many processes so you have running and which ones do you not need? Also if you have not already run some virus scans and defrag.
