Then try 1.4V FSB voltage, and see how it goes. Or, it could be something else that I don't know about since I only have the 680i.
Well, I tried 450 fsb at 9.5 multi and got the bsod. Actually, every time I tried to increase the speed with the 9.5 multi I would get a bsod. Should I up the voltage a scosh to achieve 4.2ghz?

I feel like I'm being kinda dumb or rude here, but:
  1. What does CPU-Z say the core voltage is?
  2. Did you increase the FSB voltage to 1.4V?
  3. Did you manually set the memory timings, voltage and clock to what's printed on the stickers?
  4. Is the FSB Memory Clock Mode set to Unlinked?
  5. What other options are there in your BIOS that I don't have listed?

from my experience with the 780i (FTW and A1) you shouldn't need 1.4V FSB to achieve 450FSB

  1. What does CPU-Z say the core voltage is? 100% load is 1.336 where idle is 1.368-76
  2. Did you increase the FSB voltage to 1.4V? that is an option in red so didn't try it, unless you mean the cpu core voltage which is at 1.4
  3. Did you manually set the memory timings, voltage and clock to what's printed on the stickers? yes
  4. Is the FSB Memory Clock Mode set to Unlinked? yes
  5. What other options are there in your BIOS that I don't have listed? Idk, Fury helped me with some other stuff.
Bolded items obviously.

Just because it's in red, it doesn't mean it's that unsafe. While 1.4V FSB Voltage (not CPU core voltage) may not be necessary, it still might help for now.
