Default need help overclocking i7 920 to 3.8ghz!
can someone give me a tutorial or any help to overclock a 920 to 3.8ghz? it's my first time overclocking so I need help ASAP. thanks.

Maybe you should go to the evga forum, jacob has a tutorial there to overclock the i7 with that board.

Edit: your link for the cooler does not take me to it, just to remind you that the i7 runs really hot so do not neglect getting a good cooler for it.

If you head over to EVGA forum, look at this thread: shansmi's guide, it is alot more informational than Jacobs guide. It will explain just about everything you need to know about overclocking i7 on EVGA X58 E758 model.

Oh sorry about that my cooler is a coolermaster hyper 520.

I don't want 3.4ghz or 4.2ghz like in the guide. I want 3.8ghz so that tutorial didn't really help me much.
