Yes it's compatible THe 9550 is pretty good. You can eek out probably around 4.0 GHz on a 9550 with good cooling.

yes they are compatible but if you want big FSB speeds with Quads you are better going for a P45 board

P35 supports 45nm quad but get the latest BIOS before your swap the chip.

Yeah they are compatible but like kings said, you'll need to get a BIOS update before putting the chip in.

And yes the Q9550's are very good chips and capable of some very high speeds.

when i have my quad at 3.0 i can tell a HUGE difference in my overall speed and performance of my PC compared to the 4.0 that i normally keep it at. It may just be me, but 4.0 is a very noticeable difference from 3.0. I dont think actually game performance was effected, but loading windows and applications and even starting the games up is much quicker with 4.0. I have the q9550 and it is fantastic, i would def recommend getting an e0 though. I could only get to 3.5 on a c1, and i RMA'ed it for an e0 and hit 4.0 easy.

Q9550 is a great chip but you'd better skip it because Lynnfield will be launched in Q3 2009 if Intel didn't postponed it again.
