Default Overclocking - Intel Quad Core Q9550

I might possible need to help a friend out overclocking his Intel Quad Core Q9550. How high is a safe clock on air.

Also if anyone could tell me settings that need to be modified in bios (volts. changing timings on memory. ect.) I'd be really thankful.

At the moment I was hoping to get it up to 3.89GHz (about 448x8.5) @ 1.35000 Vcore, how does that sound? And if I would, do I have to fix the timings and can it run like that on air?

Cooling on CPU: Cooler Master V8

+ Rep for you my friend!

But what type of cooling did you have, and would there be many changes compared to your setup if I wanted to run the CPU @ 3.8GHz? Also he's got 800MHz memory chips. Couldn't I simply higher up the timings to 6-6-6-18 and run it @ 900MHz-1066?

-- PS. ---

If there are more people out there that would like to share their setup, please do.

The runiq tower 120 is of course huge. Not sure if V8 is as good cooling..

And tell me, I could not use the exactly same setup that you used with the pc2-6400 memory could I? If not, than you know what I could do to be closed to it?
