im working my way up there, i still believe im one of the few who actually uses GTLREFF lanes

Now that I completely think about it, on Windows 7 i kind of doubt 4.6 STABLE.

Yeah, my only experience with that mobo wasn't exactly positive. DFI and I don't get along...but that's just my experience. Ussually, the E8x00 series E0 steppings hit around 4.0ghz.

My only experience with GTL Ref Volt was trying to push my Q6600 up to 3.825ghz and finding that I just couldn't run one core that high so I spent a few days playing with it before realizing that the core was just unwilling to run at that speed regardless of voltage.

Nice

I'd kill for that proc

But I don't see anything that says stable. N/M I see now
I've got pi runs at 4.5ghz, not stable at anything else that's for sure.

Don't be afraid to use more vcore, 1.45v is the absolute max stated by Intel.
I've been working on 500fsb stable for 2 days now, gtlref voltages play a huge role at a higher fsb.

If you are near 70C with E8400 (4.00 GHz with 1.30V), is it normal? And this is under a full load.

Cooler: Noctua NH-U12P (notice it has only ONE cooler)

As long as you're under 75c, you should be good.
