just a little overclocking fun, still stability testing, but my main question ...
Is 4.4GHz + 24/7 worth it? ![]() Fans are barely on btw. "Without vDroop" 1.3625Vcore in BIOS SuperPI 1M ![]() Prime95 Small FFT ![]() Intel Burn Test - Maximum Stress ![]() wPrime

I want to overclock my E8400 more, but I can't increase voltages anymore, because of heat and high temperatures.

If it stay stable and you're only going up to 59C on IBT, then yes by all means keep it at 4.4ghz that's a great overclock. I would almost be tempted to try to go higher and past the magically 1.3625v to see if you couldn't get 4.6 but that's just me.
Congrats on a great chip. BTW, those temps on that IFX-14 may convert me on my next build to buy that with a bunch of fans.

Very nice overclock man, just run IBT for 20 runs and you should find out if you're really stable.

I can get to 4.6 on W7, but nothing past that. 5GHz in XP though.

are you saying 5.0ghz for 24/7 usage in XP or just for benching?

that's one of the highest clocks on a E8x00 series that is actually bench stable. I would push it to up to 4.6 and prove stability. There are some people here that would pay a pretty penny for a golden E8400.
