HI GUYS I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!!!
CPU Clock Ratio: 9 CPU Host CLock Control: Enabled PCI Express Frequency: 100 C.I.A.2: Disabled Performance Enhance: Standard System Memory Multipliyer: 2.00B DRAM Timings: i have tried both auto and manual CPU Voltage Control: I have tried 1.25v to 1.40v nothing seems to help my pc just keeps restarting itself... Now i have a question right at the bottom i get Normal CPU vCore which is at 1.225V how do i change this? Does it change when i change the CPU Voltage Control? Also do you think my chip might just be crap or am i missing or doing something wrong??? Last edited by nayden : 07-11-09 at 11:05 AM |

Nayden, i am not the best person to listen too, i too am watching my thread for help. BUt i was where u were.. I would totally listen to nepas, i had to take my Cooler off and clean it really really well.. (1000grit sandpaper and lite rubbing alchol swabs) to the top of the cpu and bottom of the cooler.. Get the old stuff right off.. then goop it up thing but the size of a quarter.
__________________It dropped my Temps huge doing that.. THen start from scratch.. Load defults and make sure you can get into windows fine.(you should) reboot t hen start with your settings again. I assume you are going x8 to get the most out of your FSB aswell.. for only a 3.0 x8 is good. personally i learned something yesterday that i am sure PRO OCers wont like.. But i had a pro from my neighbourhood CPU store say do everything AUTO at the start and watch CPUZ. Change your speed 375 FSB 400 pcie 100 and spectrums to disabled. DDR to the lowest setting (i think 700 or so) all ur crap off in advanced C1e cupid TM try that..l then record idle speed in windows, b4 prime.. that way if BSOD or reboot, you can UP your Vcore small amounts and try again.. your low OC you should be stable with everything on Auto (except maybe vcore) BUt i am noob.. that is just how i have been doing it.. and right now i am testing at 3.2 Stable with 55 under 100% load as we speek. Good luck.

Update your system info too Nayden.. People telling your to go 2.5v on your ram is not wise when they dont know what board/ram you have.. they are telling you stuff they do to their system. NOT GOOD..
__________________EXAMPLE : Gskill ddr28500 - 1066 is MAX 2.1v on the ram. So leave that on Auto for now.. Please.. i dont want to hear something got cooked on ya

Ok guys please somebody explain to me what this means... i reset my CMOS by taking the battery out for a while i put it back in retstart my PC i changed all the options to overclock however i left System Memory Multipliyer on Auto and i managed to get an overclock of 3.00GHz... now my ram is 800mz and when i overclocked with it being on auto it was at 1000mz so i then went back into my options and changed System Memory Multipliyer to 2.00B restarted my PC and it just crashed again and it got reset back to standard now i cant even overclock again... could it be my RAM being ****?

Just a little FYI on the temps. All of the 1.225 VID Q6600's run way hotter than higher VID chips. You're going to need a better cooler than the AF7P if you want to hit a high clock speed.
As for the rebooting issue...set the memory multiplier so the FSB:RAM ratio is 1:1. Meaning if your FSB is 333, your RAM should be running at 666.
