Ok check this out. In my sig there is a Q6600 link. read through it. the other options to take into consideration when overclocking quads is all there. I know your cpu is different but if you can stablize the OC without more voltage all the better.
Still goin to look for other post quick.

I used to run at 3.8 with 1.35 volts.
__________________I was surprised to see that I could run at 3.6 with only 1.25625 volts. So my temps and noise were a lot lower. That is where I decided to stay for now. I thought under 70 degrees was okay, but you should check on that.

Ok cant find old post but this is what i can recommend to you.
Before increasing vcore try to stabilize system using the other options stated in link but remember not all the options might be available in your bios. Your current temps are not the worst but non the less high. I would rather tweak the other options first and you maybe could drop the vcore but that depends on cpu and stress testing. If the other options fail then maybe try the vcore option but i dont recommend it. Maybe its just the limit of the cpu or board.

1.5v for north bridge a bit high it might be causing the instability but the variables for unstable OC could be a few.
If there is anything you want me to explain more drop me pm and i will get back to you. Need to can the bed lol its pass 5am here. Good luck with the OC :-)

That reduces the Vdroop in Windows considerably. Also reduce your Vcore to 1.35volts. May I ask what programs u ran to check for a stable overclock? Also what is the VID for your chip? U shouldn't need more than 1.34 volts on the MCH. 1.50 volts is too much.

i was always under the impression that LLC was bad for 45nm chips. I ran orthos to stress test for 12 hours at my current settings highest temps reached where 65c but a long stent of gaming NEVER gets that high and thats all i do with this rig anyways.
cpu pll 1.45 MCH 1.28 ICH 1.5 ICHcore 1.20 sorry i gave to wrong info about mch being 1.5, its my ICH thats 1.5v
