I'm having issues oc'ing.
__________________Q6700 @ 3.609 GHz, core @ 1.480v (droop). FSB @ 1444 Mhz FSB voltage is @ 1.4V I believe.. Anyway, I ran Prime 95 for 12 hours, no errors. I startup Counter Strike: Source, play for 15 minutes and boom... freeze. Voltage and minor tweaks in each direction of current clocks cause freezes after startup. I think this particular chip sucks... due to the fact that I'm having to run so much core voltage to get this thing somewhat stable. Any suggestions?

i do not know why you need that much of an OC just to play CSS

if you passed prime95 then it might not be your oc. are your GPUs OC'ed?

I dont know why you'd need over 150+ FPS for playing CSS, anything above 60 is fine which your q6600 at stock clock should handle with no problems why lower the lifetime of your CPU by going over the top with your OC when your not going to notice it in game at all maybe 10-15 fps?

Did you run P95 blend or P95 small FFTs? Your memory may be the culprit (either back it off a notch in speed or raise the voltage a bit), or it may even be that the CPU + vidcard together can generate enough heat to do a number on your puter. Try grabbing Vantage and run a test. If you can't do that try running '06 and use that even.

I'm thinking its the vdroop on your EVGA 750i, and not the chip thats to blame in this instance. 3.6 is a decent overclock for a Q6xxx. No point getting stressed about not being able to get 3.8 or 4.0. Lets face it: Most people don't.

Ran Prime with large FFT's. I'm still getting issues... Ran Vantage fine... FPS were a tad bit slower than what I've seen before... Is there any kind of program that creates log files after crashes? I don't get a BSOD, it just freezes... I have to manually restart.
