Default i7 same as i9 socket?

I just want to clear this up, is the i9 6core gunna be the same socket, LGA 1366 as the i7? I want to make sure I can keep my x58 cus its brand new

Yes, i9 will be 1366, and will be supported on the X58 platform, with a BIOS update.

arite thx guys, but wt exactly do u mean by a bios update because ive never messsed around with my bios b4 i don't wanna screw sometin up. Also, will I even have to perform a bios update if I buy windows 7 and reinstall everything including drivers all over again?

A bios update, you usually save the new BIOS to your hard drive and use the tool in your BIOS to update it.

no you don't have to update your bios for windows 7

also please, try to spell correctly. Its not a request, its part of the ToS

google some guides on how to update your bios.

so used to texting using short abreviations lol, i have done this in college papers thank god for reading things over
