![]() ![]() ![]() arhhhhhh!!!! ive tried everything to get this cpu to 4ghz but i cant. i think its because my mobo cant handle quadfire aswell as running ram at such high speeds, 1884mhz, so i really need some help. what ive done so far is i've lowered my ram timings to 7-7-7-18. thats all the mobo will let me do. If i do 471x8.5 with ram running at 1884mhz i get mem test errors at around test 5 but if i back the ram off to around 942mhz mem test will pass. Do you think i should try and get 4ghz with the fsb:dram ratio at 1:1 or 1:2? and should i try to see if i get 4ghz with just one 4870x2, ram running at 1884mhz?thanks for your help so far!

i would unplug a card and run your ram slow and get the cpu right first and then work on your ram with cpu@4ghz. i cant see the other card being an issue but it might be, only way to find out is to test so...

EDIT: i've totally forgotten to change my system specs. I'm now running low voltage p55 ram rated at 2000mhz 1.65v, kingston hyperx. do you think this is the reason why i cant get 4ghz? and will i be able to overvolt these dimms to around 1.9v?

Also manually set your RAM timings to the manufacterers specs.

hi
i couldnt run prime 95 last night as i was going out so i did 20 passes of intel burn test, stress level:maximum and it passed. the only bad thing is that im running 1.3v on load. Is this safe?
