hi
i need some advice on how to get this cpu to 4ghz i've managed to get 3.9ghz stable with the following settings: fsb: 460 cpu clock skew: 100ps nb clock skew: normal fsb strap to nb: auto pcie frequency: 100 ddr3: 1841mhz 8-8-8-24 command rate: 1n cpu voltage: 1.25625 LLC: auto fsb termination: 1.23266 cpu gtl: 0 auto 1 -40mv 2 auto 3 -40mv nb gtl: +40mv nb voltage: 1.48447 dram voltage: 1.65681 sb voltage: 1.51106 sb 1.05 voltage: 1.06039 cpu spread spectrum: disabled pcie spread spectrum: disabled thanks

I know all i had to do was bump the FSB up too 471mhz and the CPU voltage to 1.265V with LLC on.

I would recommend bumping the vcore up 1 notch, and then maybe a notch of NB

I don't want to be negative but i was like that too. But when it doesn't happen , it doesn't happen. I tried almost everything.

With your temps and low voltage you should easily be able to pump up the juice to at least 1.36v and crank up your FSB to make 4GHZ+.
Only thing that would stop you would be your MB or RAM. Looks like you are there.

If u really have issues with clocking 4ghz with those voltages u can reverse fsb/multi
__________________clock down the multi to 8 and clock the fsb up to 500. allthough the 9550 comes with different voltages needed on the cpu, yours seem low maybe just increase that and the fsb to 475 but i gues u allready tried all voltage options with your currunt clock? u have to check if your mb is capable of 500mhz+ fsb, don't know the board.. and if u clock it to 500x8 dont forget to clock down your ram ;P EDIT dont go alot higher on the NBv on that board btw

Turn off LLC unless you want your chip to self destruct. (see twocable's sig)

It's not going to self-destruct, & yes, i'm well familar with the infamous AT articles recommending no LLC. Unless you're using some garbage mobo that has craptacular power/voltage regulation, & you keep voltage reasonable, LLC is just fine, & can be very helpful during OCing. Anish, the only thing likely holding you back will be the mobo itself, as a high FSB with quads can be very challenging to get stable. Make sure to run P95 Large FFTs, as this is very hard on the board & tends to quickly show FSB/NB + GTL stability issues. Small FFTs will stress that CPU, but that's about it. A very unstable system can run for hours on small FFTs due to this. You've got nice low vcore, so as long as the board co-operates, you can certainly do 4 + GHz.
