Hi
I know it's older tech, but had these components for a while, but not really had the time nor motivation to build until now! Abit IP35 Pro XE E4600 (M0 stepping) 4gb OCZ ReaperX HPC PC2-6400 (good for 970mhz 5-5-5-15) Sapphire HD3700 512 (using Overdrive auto test, it achieved 870 core & 1350 mem - is this good?) FSP 700W PSU (OEM) My target is clocking the E4600 to 3.4 - can this be done? What are safe voltages for: VCore CPU VTT MCH 1.25 Anything else I'll need to consider / factor in to acheive my target? Thanks in advance for advice. |

Might be worth adding that the cooler is the Xigmatek S1283 HDT heatsink.

for vcore don't go above 1.45. I think the E4600 is a 65nm chip so its around there.
http://processorfinder.intel.com/det...x?sSpec=SLA94# Intel says around 1.31 but I think you can go a bit higher than that if your willing and you really have good temps. What kind of cooler you gonna have? I wouldn't worry about NB until you start pushing higher FSBs. I looked up it was around 1.3 but the post can be wrong. For Cpu VTT which I believe is the FSB termination is 1.5. Now I wouldn't set these all at the highest. Start at stock and go from there pushing the voltage a bit higher and higher. Some of these could also be for the p45 so they may be a little different. I tried though.

i have a couple ab9 pro's
__________________and the p35 chipsets are pretty close in the mch max's 1.5 max for MCH 1.5 max for VTT recomended for 65nm cpu's but most should not need that much 1.45 max vcore

Thanks for the replies
At 3.2 using 1.4 volts but error found on core 0 in OCCT. CPU VTT and MCH around 1.3v - seeing FSB is around 266mhz, will changing VTT & MCH help much? May be I'll try 1.425 vcore shortly? |

Interesting. I thought of performing the standard 1 hr OCCT test using default clocks & voltage. Around 5 minutes into test, I get 'error detected on core # 1'.
Surely this can't be right. Am I doing something wrong? |

oh yeah. They will help with stability and mch will help with getting it bootable
