Set your TJMax to 80șC. You're getting higher readings than you're supposed to, but the processor is still pretty hot. On CoreTemp go to Offset and type -20.

so what? my temp readings are wrong? if I set the offset to -20 would that be to help the system to run at high temps with a wrong offset? or is the -20 to get the real temp?
Im gonna get a better cooler before trying to OC 3.0 and obove.. Using Core Temp.. any programs that will give me a better reading?

so the offset is wrong? when it says core temp is 85 at tj max 85 it is rly 65? :S 65 isnt THAT bad for 100% load..

Correct, although I'm not sure if Core Temp sets TJ Max automatically to 100șC or something else. Check above your readings what TJ Max is set at.

Okay alot of things need to be cleared up in a hurry.
1.) Set your TJ Max offset to -10 So that TJ Max will be 90C (See link in my sig The Truth about Temps and Voltages) 2.) With the TJ Max set at 90C what are your maximum temperatures running IBT? 3.) You probablly don't need anywhere near these voltages for such a small overclock. Most Q6600's (even B3 steppings) need barely more than stock to achieve 3.0ghz. 4.) There is not a difference between temperature monitoring programs except what value they use as TJ Max. Setting TJ Max manually automatically fixes that. 5.) A 1:1 ratio of FSB: DRAM will provide the most stability so that is what you want to set it at right now. Later you can increase DRAM speed higher, but for right now leave it down at 1:1 even if that means underclocking the ram. 6.) Make sure all ram timings are manually set to stock. So for instance if your ram is 800mhz 5-4-4-15-2T@2.1v, then set it to 666mhz (1:1 ratio) with 5-4-4-15-2T@2.1v this will rule out ram instabilities for the most part. 7.) You could very well be causing temperature instabilities with excess vcore. Try lowering Vcore down to 1.30v and retest. You may find that you didn't need as much vcore as you thought you did. 8.) Ignore the GTLv tweaking trick posted above. Your FSB speed is way too low to warrant messing with that. GTL tweaking is only really done above 425FSB which you will not get into. 9.) You should easily be able to get 3.0ghz stable, but use the most ram available in IBT and set it for at least 10 runs. That gives a decent idea of stability but more testing is needed. 10.) If your temps are really high even with the zalman, you may consider reseating your cooler in hopes to lower temperatures. 11.) Don't beg for rep. It won't be given and will be reported like in post#6. 12.) Lower multipliers and higher FSB speeds are not good ideas. You put more stress on the motherboards for no reason. 9x333=3.0ghz is the best idea. Very little motherboard stress and very little extra CPU stress. 13.) You CPU VTT may be too high for that overclock, I would try lowering it after finding a stable vcore.

Tj. Max is 85.. I did some readings that Tj. max should be 90.. others says 100.. my CPU is 65nm.. Q6600
