Default Hangs on motherboard screen. Not enough voltage?

Once in a while when I turn on my computer it hangs on the motherboard screen and I have to restart to get it to work. I was wondering if a certain voltage is too low from my overclock. If so, which could it be?

Have you ever had any hanging issues else where, or just only on the motherboard screen and not happened any where else?

Also, have you made sure your overclock is well stable in Prime95?

Yeah my overclock has ram Prime95 blend test for 15 hours, 8 hours on large fft, 9 hours on small fft. Did 50 passes of LinX. Everything is fine. The only problem is it hangs when I turn on my computer and then I have to reset to get to windows. I tried upping vcore and vtt doesn't help. What other voltages could be the problem? Or what in general could be the problem?

Honestly, I think if it was a voltage problem, then you'd be having a hard time passing any of the stress tests.

Have you tried updating the BIOS to the latest version?

Yeah, that's the first thing I did when I first got this motherboard. I think it does have something to do with my overclock in general or voltages because it doesn't do this when I'm in stock speeds.

How about the stability of your RAM? Tried any mem tests, or maybe even try your overclocking to just 4GHz to see if that helps?

A voltage issue many over look.
I have so many voltage/electricity issues in my area that long ago I invested in a good APC (battery back up). One can only wonder how much the voltage into you home varies and whether it may screw with your PS's ability to provide good power. An APC will provide good clean stable power, something all PCs should have, especially us OCers PC
Now if you have an APC and this is not the issue, sorry for wasting your time.. but perhaps not someone else that know not of such things

Also, many use any old common wall socket and not the recommended dedicated socket/circuit as I have. Not having a dedicated circuit can also be problematic and especially when home appliances like TV's, the Frig, Microwave, etc... that have a large draw on start up or when running can sap the circuit and screw with the quality output of the socket your PC is plugged into.

Just a few more things to ponder

You know what, that could be an idea there, Duke.

Maybe effecting only when his computer is turned on first thing? Try hooking a digital multi-meter to read AC voltage, to the same power outlet your PC is plugged into, and turn it on to see what it reads when you do so.

Just a thought.

Yeah my comp is plugged directly into the wall socket. Are APC's expensive? Any specific model you recommend?
